Independent Researcher and Visiting Scholar
The International Intellectual Property Law Research Center operates Independent Researcher, Visiting Scholar and Visiting Researcher programs. Distinguished domestic and international scholars, judges, and legal experts are cordially invited to serve in these roles. Researchers are supported with facilities and equipment necessary for their research, subject to budjet availability. Domestic and international legal experts interested in applying for these positions are welcome to contact us at orange31@scourt.go.kr. Your inquiry will be carefully reviewed, and we will respond accordingly.
Independent Researcher
Taeho Jung (Professor, Kyonggi University, Intellectual Property Department)
Professor Taeho Jung worked as a patent attorney at EZ Patent & Trademark Law Office and at Myung-Shin & Partners Intellectual Property Law Firm. Subsequently, he served as an examiner at the Korean Intellectual Property Office (currently the Ministry of Intellectual Property). He later worked as a professor at Wonkwang University Law School and as a judicial researcher at the intellectual property division of the Supreme Court of Korea. Currently, he is a professor in the Department of Intellectual Property at Kyonggi University. He has authored numerous books and articles across all fields of intellectual property law and actively engages in research and advisory activities while holding various positions at intellectual property-related institutions.
Dongjun Kim (Professor, Chungnam National University School of Law)
Professor Dongjun Kim served as an examiner at the Korean Intellectual Property Office (currently the Ministry of Intellectual Property) from 1995 to 2007, and as a Judicial Research Officer at the Supreme Court of Korea from September 2010 to August 2011. He received a J.D. from the UNH (University of New Hampshire) Franklin Pierce School of Law and a Ph.D. in Law from Sungkyunkwan University. He is licensed to practice as a patent attorney in Korea and is also licensed to practice law in New York and Massachusetts. Since 2008, he has been active in the Korea Patent Law Society, where he has served as President and Chair of the Academic Committee. He has served as a professor at Chungnam National University since October 2007, teaching at the School of Law, the College of Law, and the Graduate School of Intellectual Property Law.
